COCAINE MONSTER

Cocaine was born in the early 1970s on the south side of Atlanta under a name she refuses to say out loud anymore — a name buried so deep beneath powder, blood, and addiction that it barely feels like it belonged to her at all.

She grew up around drugs, violence, and survival. By the time she was old enough to understand she was different, she already knew softness could get you hurt.

Late nights in cracked motel mirrors with cigarette smoke curling through open windows and cocaine dripping numbness down the back of her throat while old disco and ballroom tracks played softly nearby.

She cut into her own face.
Injected herself.
Stitched herself back together by hand.

By the time Cocaine arrived at BODYWRECK in 1986 at just twenty-five years old, her reputation had already reached Miami before she did.

Now beneath fluorescent surgical lights, with cigarette smoke lingering in the air and old ballroom music humming softly from a nearby radio, Cocaine works with blood on her gloves and ghosts behind her eyes.

Some people love her for what she does.

Some people absolutely despise her.

But that usually depends on which side of the operating table they wake up on.
